This Privacy Policy explains how PureLink Chemicals ("we," "us," or "our") collects, uses, stores, shares, and protects personal information when you use our web platform at purelinkchemicals.com, our mobile application Purelink Chemicals (Android package com.purelink.mobile), and our backend services at purelinkchemical.com (collectively, the "Services").
By using our Services, you agree to the practices described in this Policy. If you do not agree, please do not use our Services.
1. Who We Are
PureLink Chemicals operates a business-to-business (B2B) marketplace that connects buyers of chemicals with verified suppliers. Our registered office is at Sodic, Portal A-601, Beverly Hills Compound, Sheikh Zayed City, Egypt.
For privacy questions, contact our Data Protection contact at sales@purelinkchemicals.com.
2. Information We Collect
2.1 Information You Provide Directly
- Account information: first name, last name, email address, password (stored as a one-way bcrypt hash — we never see your plain password), phone number with country code, job title, preferred language (English or Arabic).
- Company information: company name, company email, company phone, company address, country, currency, website, business field, commercial register number, tax number, contact person, position.
- Business activity: requests for quotation (RFQs), supplier quotations you submit, purchase orders, product listings, file attachments (specifications, certificates, invoices), and any messages exchanged through the platform.
- Support requests: any communication you send to us via email, support tickets, contact forms, or the live chat widget on this website.
2.2 Information Collected Automatically
- Authentication tokens: on mobile, we store a Laravel Sanctum session token in Android's secure encrypted storage (Expo SecureStore / Android Keystore) so you don't have to log in every time.
- Application cache: on mobile, we use AsyncStorage to cache product catalogs and listings locally so the app works offline.
- Locale and device language: to display content in your preferred language.
- Network connection state: to show offline indicators when your device loses internet connectivity.
- Audit logs: for security and compliance, we record changes to RFQs, quotations, purchase orders, listings, and prices, including timestamps and the user account that performed each action.
- Server logs: our backend servers retain standard request logs (IP address, request path, response code, user agent) for security monitoring and debugging, typically for 30 days.
2.3 Information We Do NOT Collect
- We do not collect precise location (GPS coordinates).
- We do not access your contacts, photos, microphone, or camera unless you explicitly attach a file.
- We do not use advertising trackers, marketing pixels, or third-party advertising SDKs.
- We do not sell your personal information to third parties.
3. How We Use Your Information
We use the information described above only for the following purposes:
- Service delivery: to register and authenticate you, route RFQs to suppliers, deliver quotations to buyers, generate purchase orders, and provide all marketplace functionality.
- Identity and contact disclosure controls: supplier company names are visible to buyers throughout the marketplace process (browsing, RFQs, and quotations), so buyers can choose counterparties by name. A supplier's direct contact details (phone, email, address) are withheld from the buyer until a purchase order is accepted, at which point they are disclosed to both parties to enable fulfillment.
- Communication: to send transactional emails (registration confirmation, RFQ notifications, quotation alerts, PO updates) and to respond to your support requests.
- Compliance and audit: to maintain audit trails required by our internal policies and applicable B2B trade regulations.
- Security: to detect, prevent, and investigate fraud, abuse, unauthorized access, and security incidents.
- Service improvement: to understand how our Services are used, fix bugs, and improve usability.
4. Legal Basis (GDPR / Egyptian Data Protection Law)
If you are in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom, or another jurisdiction with similar laws, we process your personal information on the following bases:
- Performance of a contract: to provide the marketplace services you requested.
- Legitimate interests: to operate, secure, and improve our Services.
- Compliance with legal obligations: to retain records required by tax, commercial, or regulatory law.
- Consent: for any optional features you choose to enable (such as marketing communications, if any).
For users in Egypt, processing complies with the Personal Data Protection Law (Law No. 151 of 2020).
5. How We Share Information
We share personal information only in these limited circumstances:
- Between marketplace participants: Supplier company names are visible to buyers throughout the marketplace process. A supplier's direct contact details (phone, email, address) are shared with the buyer only after a purchase order is accepted, and vice versa, to enable fulfillment.
- Within your company: Other users of the same company account can view RFQs, quotations, and purchase orders created by anyone in that company. Roles (owner / admin / member) determine which actions a user can perform.
- With service providers: We use the following third parties strictly to operate the Services. Each acts as a data processor under our instructions:
- Hosting infrastructure: Contabo (servers in Germany / United States) for backend hosting; Cloudflare Pages for marketing site hosting.
- Crash and error reporting (mobile app): Sentry — only when explicitly enabled by configuration. Sentry receives crash stack traces and limited diagnostic data. No business data, no message contents, and no passwords are sent to Sentry.
- Live chat (this website): Crisp (Crisp IM SAS, EU-hosted) powers the chat widget on our marketing site. If you use it, the messages you send and any contact details you share in the chat are processed by Crisp on our behalf.
- App distribution: Google Play (Android) for mobile app delivery; Expo Application Services (EAS) for build and deployment.
- Legal compliance: If required by law, court order, or government request, or to protect our rights, users, or the public.
- Business transfers: If we are involved in a merger, acquisition, or asset sale, your information may be transferred subject to standard confidentiality protections.
We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information.
6. Data Retention
- Active accounts: retained for as long as your account is active.
- Closed accounts: personal data is marked deleted and removed from active queries within 30 days. Limited audit-trail records (showing that a user with a given identifier performed certain actions) are retained for up to 7 years to comply with B2B trade and tax recordkeeping obligations.
- RFQs, quotations, purchase orders: retained for at least 7 years from the date of the transaction.
- Server access logs: typically deleted after 30 days.
- Crash reports (Sentry): retained according to Sentry's default retention (90 days).
7. Security
We use industry-standard safeguards to protect your information, including:
- Transport Layer Security (TLS) encryption for all data in transit.
- Bcrypt password hashing — we never store or transmit your password in plain text.
- Encrypted storage of authentication tokens on mobile devices using Android Keystore (via Expo SecureStore).
- Role-based access control: users can only see and act on data belonging to their own company.
- Audit logging of sensitive actions for forensic and compliance purposes.
- Regular security review of dependencies and infrastructure.
No internet service is 100% secure. If we become aware of a security incident affecting your data, we will notify you in accordance with applicable law.
8. Your Rights
Subject to applicable law, you have the right to:
- Access the personal information we hold about you.
- Correct inaccurate or incomplete information.
- Delete your account and associated personal data, subject to retention periods required by law.
- Object to or restrict certain types of processing.
- Export your data in a portable, machine-readable format.

To exercise any of these rights, email sales@purelinkchemicals.com. We respond to verified requests within 30 days.
9. International Data Transfers
Our servers may be located outside your country of residence. When we transfer personal data internationally, we rely on appropriate safeguards (such as standard contractual clauses) where required by applicable law.
10. Children's Privacy
Our Services are intended for business users aged 18 and above. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 18. If you believe a child has provided us information, please contact us so we can delete it.
11. Mobile App Permissions
The Purelink Chemicals Android app requests only the permissions strictly necessary to function:
- Internet: to communicate with our backend.
- Network state: to detect online/offline status.
- Storage (scoped): to cache catalog data and store your encrypted authentication token.
The app does not request location, contacts, camera, microphone, or other sensitive permissions.
12. Cookies and Similar Technologies
The marketing site uses essential cookies only (no analytics or advertising cookies). The web platform uses session cookies to maintain your login state. The mobile app does not use browser cookies.
13. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Policy from time to time. We will post the updated Policy on this page with a revised "Last updated" date. For material changes, we will notify you through the Services or by email. Continued use of the Services after the update constitutes acceptance.
